Sunday June 28th,2009

The pictures below are from a 3 hour walk out at the bay lands of Palo Alto. It was 3 in the afternoon, very bright, and very very hot. The mud sparrows were pretty much hiding in their nests. Figuring out how to capture their image with the lack of light under the eves was an interesting challenge. The rest of the day was easy as the light was really good, and due to the heat the number of birds in the water was high. Fishing, swimming, resting in the water by shore. There were cormorants,egrets,pelicans,ducks with babies, geese with babies, and a couple of soaring diving species of shore birds that I have to look up. Only down side was that I forgot sun screen and had short sleeves so I got a little too much color.

Tomorrow is Monday and back to work.....
