Mr. Tree lives in our neighbors back yard and is home to many many creatures, the most notable is our wood pecker. We have down time each evening after work and if we are quiet enough the birds come out to play.

Tonight we had salmon and baked potatoes and grilled squash with a big big salad on the side. Lara Payton takes pictures of her food and puts it on her Face book. Sorry Lara, but we only have birds. Oh yes , we have one spider who has been living on our front screen door and refuses to move so I snapped his image for posterity!!!!

Sunday morning August 16th,2009 Palo Alto Bay Lands

So here we are coming to the middle of August. We are still test driving our camping equipment and repairing some of it. At the bottom of this post you will see me cooking our weekend pancakes on the coleman stove, and Geo is repairing our cooler. Interesting that it costs just as much to buy parts and repair as it does to buy a new one. But in the name of the earth , we buy parts and repair!!!
Saturday evening I went out to pick tomatoes and found this amazing garden spider building condominiums between our two tomatoes plants. I'm not totally into spiders , but the sun was shining through the web and the spider in a magical way so I tried to capture it with my camera. Only partially suceeded.

Sunday we spent a couple of hours at the Bay Lands with my favorite friends.

Now it is Monday and I am back to work......Hope you all have a wonderul week
