End of August 2009 3 day weekend in Portola California

We took a 3 day weekend and went to Portola Ca with Carol and Paul. This is a valley in the mountains and it is cattle country, horse country , and train country. Friday night we beat Carol and Paul by about three hours, so we camped on the front porch , ate a picnic supper, Geo played us some music and I took sequential shots of the amazing colors of the sky as the sun set.

We took walks, cooked "freds" steak from Schaub's and corn on the grill for Saturday night supper and basically had a great time. Carol and Paul and Geo hiked to a lake and swam on Saturday. I will post those pics from Carols camera above. This place is amazingly beautiful and we have a great time every time we go, Thaks you so much C and P!!!!!!!!!!!
