fifth floor of parking structure at Stanford. Sept 30,2009

The parking structure across the street from the Stanford Emergency room has these very tall trees growing up through the middle to the fifth floor where they leaf out and bloom. They are only in bloom during the fall for about 6 weeks. During that time they are filled with humming birds playing and eating and competing for territorial rights. They are very entertaining and I have been spending each lunch break with my camera. trying to capture their games. It is a bit of a challenge as they soar and swoop at quite a pace. If any of you are humming bird lovers you should really walk out to see this before the booms drop and the birds will disappear for another season.
