August 10 ,2008

We have been having so much fun with our garden. The food is coming in and each weekend we harvest and cook. Geo's table is finished and we are really enjoying eating out side. I have been working more with water colors and colored pencils. Some good results, some not so good but very very fun. Some of these pictures are of the hand decorated book I am making Megan for her Birthday. I have eight weeks to finnish it and have been doing a page each day.
Today we started out with pete's coffee and an early morning fire in our fire pit. Then Geo roasted vegetables to make into pasta sauce. I harvested apples and made an apple pie, and then made a zucchini quiche. I will post the pictures but you must forgive that even though the imac rotates them correctly, this blog program posts them the way they were taken and I can't seem to figure out how to rotate them in this program. Therefore sometimes we are sideways....
Uncle, thank you for your second set of pictures....just wonderful!!! We look forward to more...We all are so thrilled to see you looking so good...the biking looks really hard..Congratulations...!!!!!!!
Brendan, I mailed the boys letters today on Curious George letter paper. Let me know if they come.
Megan, I hope our kitten is feeling better and that you are having fun with the new boat.
Next weekend we are taking our sail boat over to Princeton and will be trying out the sailing out of that harbor.

Two weeks and then we will be in Jenner at Stillwater Cove Ranch and we will be canoeing, and playing, and eating , and sleeping...Yeah for vacation!!! OK here come the pictures

Love,  Mom

PS I forgot, Geo went to the Giants game Saturday night!
And I harvested lavender and created silk lavender pouches for the closets.... and last but not least , don't forget to enjoy the pictures of our garden. Geo and I are well matched, we are homesteaders at heart!
