Birds and bees and fava beans may 2009

Lavender and poppies too !! I spent the weekend in my garden watching our family of blue jays. Further down the blog you will see that I was treated to the delight of watching mom feed young one. The youngster is trying to do his own hunting but gets frustrated and calls often for mom to come and provide snacks. Half way through the weekend I switched to manuel settings on the camera as the auto focus was having trouble shooting through all the foliage.
