Happy happy Saturday! This post is to thank Sheila and Rahim, who gave us the most beautiful bulbs which come up every spring and and remind us what good friends we have.
The fava beans are going...more fava's for dinner and lots of sunshine and such peace and quiet you would think we had reached heaven....

Fava beans are a main staple of the Egyptian diet but I have never seen them fresh or in the pod here. We usually buy them in a can mixed with chick peas. Joel adds fresh tomatoes and onions and cooks this together as a sort of stew.... Maybe next year we'll be able to peek in your garden to see how they actually grow.
