sunday evening dinner with Geo's mom

Well, here are some more pictures from today. We went over and picked up Geo's Mom and had hamburgers and fries over at Peninsula Creamery[ shhhhh   don't tell my doctor] and then went for a long evening walk. The air today was just like the middle of summer and all the trees and shrubs are in full bloom. Amazing really when the rest of our nation is in the middle of winter. We stopped at See's for dessert  and then went along the creek for awhile. The flowers at the shopping center are spectacular and I find the old growth trees particularly appealing...Sunday night and home to get ready for the next weeks work.........My mantra these days is " thank you God I have a JOB!!!!More next week, all our love  D and G

Well, I turned 59 this week! Amazing! Geo gave me this beautiful card which captured the essence of me and touched my heart that he knows me so well. He also gave me some more toys to go with my camera! Many thanks Geo, I am having alot of fun with tis camera!!!!!

We went over to campus today again , looking for my lunch time companion[falcon], but to no avail. I did capture some beautiful wild flowers, a rascal blue jay and a redheaded woodpecker whom I have also seen at lunch. Today is the sunniest most beautiful day we have had. Tomorrow they predict rain which will be good for our fava beans and the new lavender that we planted yesterday. A big thank you to Geo's sister Marilyn for my birthday present of a donation to Partners In Health in my name.  PIH [Partners In Health} is an organization run by Paul Farmer that works to provide clean water, adequate food and shelter, and expert medical care to those around the world who are less fortunate than we are. They work in this country as well as over seas......look them up on the web......www.PIH.org.....  thanks Marilyn, that is the best gift you could have given me. Tonight we are going to take Ma Mere[Geo's Mom} out to dinner and then for a stroll around the shopping center to look at the flowers, I will take my camera and try to capture some people as well as the blossoms.......Love to all, D and G
