Well, we went over to campus to take a walk and look for my bird. We were unsuccessful but had a good time any way. We ate lunch at the museum and then wandered in side for a little while. Then off to see campus sites. It is a constant surprise to me that we work and live in such a beautiful place. Here are the images that caught my eye while wandering. Oh not forget the Stanford book store. Had a nice sojourn in thee too. Will try and find my falcon tomorrow....

Spring has arrived! Our apple tree is in bloom. The fava beans are 6 inches high. they will be 6 feet high by the time we harvest them. The forget me nots and lilac have bloomed and the wisteria is budding out already. Today we will go over to campus for our walk and try and find the red tailed hawk or falcon that I have seen all week long. I won't know for sure which he is until I get a picture to compare to pictures on the web. This bird is absolutely beautiful to watch as he hunts. He has been my lunch time entertainment this week.

Sunday 3.22.09 San Francisco

Well, it turned out to be one of those wonderful days where the air is so sweet that you breathe in and are just immediately caught by the idea that it is great to be alive. We had breakfast at Starbuck's [ $4 for coffee and bkfst sandwich] Thank you Starbucks!!! Then we drove to the city and went to the museum [Andy Worhal[sp?] and Eve St Laurent [sp?]exhibits] then over to Crissy Field for a long walk out to the Pipe Organs. Oh, don't forget the organic FRANKS hot dogs for lunch at the warming Hut. Wonderful wonderful Sunday!!!! The wind was really high and there were a ton of wind surfers and kites. The cloud formations were especially beautiful! The sun was bright and warmed us as we walked. We saw one set of birds having a little bird battle that looked particularly fierce [ couldn't catch it on film]. I love my camera that Geo gave me and am getting more familiar with it each time we go out. Hope you all have a great week!!!
